Focus and Scope

The International Journal for Court Administration (IJCA or Journal) is an on-line journal that focuses on contemporary court administration and management. It provides a platform for the professional exchange of knowledge, experience and research in those areas for a diverse audience of professional practitioners and academics.

Its scope is international, and the editors welcome submissions from court officials, judges, justice ministry officials, academics and others whose professional, research projects, and interests lie in the practical aspects of the effective administration of justice. IJCA is an open access Journal, and its articles are subjected to a double blind peer review procedure. Please contact one of the co-managing editors if you are uncertain whether your research falls into these categories.

The International Journal for Court Administration has been accepted for listing in Scopus and SSRN.

The International Journal for Court Administration is an initiative of the International Association for Court Administration (IACA).

Publication Frequency

The International Journal for Court Administration is published three times a year, with spring (April), Summer (August) and Autumn/Winter (December) issues. Occasionally, the editors will publish a special issue focusing on a specified range of topics. Suggestions for a special issue theme are encouraged and welcome. Please submit any such suggestions to the co-managing editors.

Open Access Policy

This Journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge and improved understanding and familiarity with courts of law and their role in the effective administration of justice.

Journal Archiving

To ensure permanency of all publications, this Journal utilises CLOCKSS archiving systems to create permanent archives for the purposes of preservation and restoration.

The International Association for Court Administration (IACA) also archives Journal issues at its website: www.iaca.ws.

IJCA is indexed in:

Scopus, SSRN, DOAJ, JournalTocs, Google Scholar and Ebsco Legal Source that provides full-text coverage of the world's most respected scholarly law journals.

All journal content is indexed with CrossRef and assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

The International Journal for Court Administration fully supports and encourages author self-archiving of all content. This journal is registered with SHERPA/RoMEO.
